Started with a Wrench and a Dream

Mike Larson opened Larson Repair back in 2009, fresh from a decade of working at dealerships and independent shops across the region. He'd seen too many customers get talked into repairs they didn't need, pay prices that didn't make sense, and leave without really understanding what happened to their vehicle.

So he built something different. A shop where the mechanic talks to you like a person. Where you get a straight answer about what's really going on with your car. Where the price you see is the price you pay—no surprise fees hiding in the fine print.

That philosophy turned a one-bay operation into a full-service facility with three lifts, a team of four certified technicians, and a reputation that spreads word-of-mouth across Harwood, Fargo, and the surrounding communities.

Our Core Values

The principles that guide every interaction, every repair, every decision we make.

Honesty First

We'll never recommend a repair you don't need. If something can wait, we'll tell you. If it can't, we'll explain exactly why. Your trust matters more than a quick sale.

Quality Workmanship

We take pride in every job, whether it's a $40 oil change or a $2,000 transmission rebuild. The vehicle you're driving is someone's family car, work truck, or daily commuter—and it deserves our best.

Community Focus

We're not some corporate chain run from another state. We're your neighbors. When you bring your vehicle to Larson Repair, you're supporting a local business that employs local people and cares about this community.

Our Facility

Our shop on County Highway 81 features three hydraulic lifts, a dedicated diagnostic bay, and a clean workspace where your vehicle gets the attention it deserves. We invest in quality equipment because it means more accurate diagnoses and safer repairs.

We stock a range of common parts for domestic and Asian vehicles, which means many repairs can be completed same-day without waiting for shipments. For specialty parts, we work with trusted suppliers who get us what we need, fast.

The waiting area is nothing fancy—just clean, comfortable seating, complimentary WiFi, and cold drinks. Or if you need a ride to work, we offer complimentary local shuttle service within Harwood and surrounding areas.
