Terms of Service

Understanding the terms that govern your use of our services

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the Larson Repair website and services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use our website or services.

These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("Customer," "You," or "Your") and Larson Repair ("Company," "We," "Us," or "Our") regarding your use of our auto repair services, website, and any related content or functionality.

Service Description

Larson Repair provides professional automotive repair and maintenance services including but not limited to brake system repair, engine diagnostics, oil changes, tire services, transmission repair, and battery replacement. Our services are provided at our facility located at 120 County Highway 81, Harwood, ND 58042.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of our services at any time. We also reserve the right to refuse service to any customer for any reason, including but not limited to disrespectful behavior, non-payment for previous services, or fraudulent activity.

Appointments and Cancellations

Scheduled appointments are estimates of when we can begin working on your vehicle. Due to the unpredictable nature of automotive repair, actual completion times may vary. We make every effort to complete repairs within the estimated timeframe, but we cannot be held liable for delays caused by:

  • Parts availability — Unexpected delays in parts delivery from suppliers may extend repair times.
  • Discovery of additional issues — During inspection or repair, we may discover problems that were not apparent during initial diagnosis, requiring additional time and approval.
  • Workload fluctuations — Emergency repairs for other customers may affect our ability to stick to the original schedule.

We require at least 24 hours' notice for cancellation or rescheduling of appointments. Repeated no-shows or late cancellations may result in a fee or require prepayment for future appointments.

Estimates and Pricing

We provide written estimates for major repairs before beginning work. The estimate includes parts, labor, and applicable taxes based on the information available at the time of diagnosis. The final bill may differ from the estimate if:

  • Additional problems are found — Our technicians discover issues that require attention beyond the scope of the original estimate.
  • Parts costs change — Supplier prices may fluctuate, affecting the final cost of parts.
  • Labor time varies — Complex repairs may require more time than initially anticipated.

For repairs exceeding the original estimate by more than 10%, we will contact you for approval before proceeding. Your verbal or written authorization constitutes agreement to the additional charges.

Payment Terms

Payment is due upon completion of services. We accept cash, major credit cards, debit cards, and checks (subject to approval). Returned check fees of $35 will be charged for any payment returned by the bank.

For commercial accounts and fleet services, credit terms may be established subject to credit approval and regular payment history. All commercial accounts are subject to a 1.5% monthly finance charge on past-due balances.

We reserve the right to retain possession of your vehicle until all charges are paid in full. This is known as a mechanic's lien and is permitted under North Dakota law. Storage fees may apply for vehicles left at our facility after completion of repairs.

Warranty and Guarantees

Larson Repair warrants all parts and workmanship for a period of 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the date of repair. This warranty covers defects in parts supplied by us and labor performed by our technicians.

The warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear items — Brake pads, belts, wiper blades, and other components subject to regular wear and tear.
  • Damage from neglect — Failures resulting from lack of maintenance or failure to address warning signs.
  • External damage — Damage from accidents, road hazards, vandalism, or weather conditions.
  • Modifications — Issues arising from aftermarket parts or modifications installed by other parties.

To exercise your warranty rights, return your vehicle to our facility within the warranty period. We will inspect the issue and repair or replace defective parts at no charge. Transportation of the vehicle to our facility is your responsibility.

Customer Responsibilities

As a customer, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information — Describe symptoms and concerns accurately so our technicians can diagnose problems effectively.
  • Maintain communication — Remain available by phone during business hours in case our technicians need clarification or approval.
  • Remove personal belongings — Remove all valuables and personal items from your vehicle before drop-off. We are not responsible for items left in the vehicle.
  • Pick up your vehicle promptly — Vehicles not picked up within 7 days of completion may be subject to storage fees of $25 per day.
  • Provide proof of ownership — You must have legal right to possess the vehicle you bring for service.
